National E-Governance Services Limited (NeSL), India’s first Information Utility regulated by the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI), has appointed Shri Umesh Kumar Singh as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO). He assumed office on September 1, 2026.
Singh brings over 35 years of professional experience, including more than 32 years across technology, digital banking, financial inclusion, governance and financial services. An alumnus of Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Prayagraj, with a degree in Computer Science Engineering, he has held senior leadership positions across banking and financial-sector institutions.
