How the combination of e-stamp and e-Sign works?
Step 1: e-Stamping
NeSL’s DDE is integrated with 30 States/UTs either directly through the State’s treasury(GRAS) or with Stockholding Corporation of India Limited (SHCIL) for procurement of e-Stamps.The system fetches the e-stamp details into the document execution workflow, enabling organisations to digitally stamp agreements in accordance with the applicable state regulations and the article codes. This removes the need for physical stamp papers, simplifies compliance, and significantly reduces the time involved in preparing documents for execution.
Once the document has been e-Stamped, it is ready for digital signing.
Step 2: e-Signing – Four Modes Available
Recognising that different users and organisations have different authentication requirements, DDE provides four legally recognised modes of e-Signing, allowing businesses to choose the most suitable option for every use case.
- Aadhaarbased – OTP
- Aadhaar – Face Authentication
- Aadhaar – Biometric e-Sign
- Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) e-Sign
